Rules and Entry

Call to artists open to all levels, ages, and mediums and styles of visual art except music and video.

Artists will be chosen by jurors and will have their art work in a 6 week exhibit from June 18Th-July 30Th 2010 at Louisville's Mellwood Art Center.

Entries can be submitted online or by mail and submissions are unlimited.

Online submissions are to be submitted in the following formats: .jpg, .png, .pdf (Max File size is 4MB)

Single Entry $15, Three entries $25.

Entries by mail must be on a CD. The artist CD or CD cover must be labeled with your name, address, phone number and medium entry. Any CD’s not labeled will be discarded and not entered into juror selection. Payments can be made by cashier's check or money order and made payable to S.E.E.

If your art work is sold during the six week exhibit, 30% of the art sold goes to Mellwood Arts Center.

Proceeds from this event support  St. Joe’s Residential Treatment Program, helping to purchase visual art supplies as well as create workshops staffed and funded by S.E.E for the children served in this program. St. Joe’s Residential Treatment Program serves approximately 85 girls and boys, ages 6-14, each year.  The Therapeutic Foster Care and Adoption Program serves approximately 70 girls and boys, ages newborn to 18 years old.   The majority of the children are developmentally disabled, and at least two years behind academically.    The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services places children who have been victims of neglect, physical, mental or sexual abuse or a combination of several of these factors in treatment centers. St. Joseph Children’s Home provides children with an Activities Program, providing educational, cultural and recreational opportunities that most of the children have never experienced.  The majority of our children have not had a childhood.  It is crucial that we provide the children these activities, and give them back a part of their lost childhood. Usage Rights: All art entries will only be used for exhibit selection. Selected art for the exhibit beginning on June 18, 2010, will be displayed for 6 weeks at Louisville's Mellwood Art Center and may not be reproduced for publication or exhibited in any other event in any form without express written permission from the Artist.
